Default Soft Top Replacement Advice

I have a couple rips in a MY05 soft top from a thief. Just the roof portion. Frame is still fine.

From here, is #4 the only part I need.

It's $747.25 from Majestic Honda with $20 shipping. Good price?

It's not as easy as it seems to install that at all. You would be better off buying someones used top with frame for 800$ and installing it all as one piece.

Something like this?

If I gave that to an auto upholstery shop, how much should they charge?

I used them too and was very happy with the result. It took me about 2 days to install it but I was working alone and took my time. You need a hand rivet tool and some other common hand tools.

I hope you're not thinking of replacing the top yourself. If so, read THIS thread before you do.

That's actually not much easier than replacing just the top fabric alone. The PITA part is the back, which would have to come out for either install. Attaching the fabric to the front of the frame isn't hard.

And replacing the entire frame means removing some plastic covers that you don't need to do for the fabric alone. So it's a bit of a wash.

www.topsonline.com or find them on ebay. I bought mine from them. 550 i think it was shipped. Fitment was awesome! Also go and buy an ebay rivet gun for like 5 bucks, you will need it. Like stated before, 2 or more days of work. First day for me was stripping the interior, second day was doing the actual install, 3rd day was reinstalling interior.

Which material and brand did you guys go with for the aftermarket top?

I am thinking of getting the EZ-ON Stayfast Canvas over the robbins. It's like a $300 difference.

I've now watched the whole top go on in less than a day...5hrs. Not as much of the interior has to come out as in the instructions by Cyclon.
