My OEM top is looking pretty faded, and I'm looking to upgrade with the ez-on canvas. Can anyone tell me what is has cost them to have a shop put it on? I don't want to do it myself 'cause I'll mess it up

Also a newbie question: the tops come without all the hardware and just include the canvas top and glass, right? Thanks!

Shops will charge around 600-1000 most likely for installing just the cloth top.
If you buy a used top with frame and everything from what I hear that is a pretty simple couple hour install.

You can do it yourself, but it's a challenge. You definitely want to take your time to keep from damaging anything or having to repeat steps. When I installed an EZ-On glass window conversion, it took a good 10-12 hours of steady work. If I remember correctly, the top came with the hardware for the install, but I had to go buy a pop rivet tool ($12 I think). You should get elastic and extra pop rivets too, so you can replace the elastic between the 1st and 2nd bow of the frame while you're replacing your top.

Thank you so much guys for the info. I hated having a conversation in my s2k for the longest time, almost felt kind of def for a little bit there. I'm very surprised why Honda would even let this pass inspection. Must've been a deaf guy taking the car for a sping before releasing it to the manufacturing floor.

Fellas, this is a little off topic but I ran into a problem with my S2k, I found out that the one of the ignition coil went bad and I ordered a new one, still waiting for it to come in. but when I removed the spark plug I noticed the end where the spark gets arched from is missing on the spark plug. somehow it fell inside there somewhere. I'm a little nervous and worried about how much damage could occur if I don't remove it. I had asked my engineer at work and he tells me that I should'nt worry at all because the oil should send it on it's way to the oil pan and out as I remove the oil. Is this true or should I worry and try to get the piece out? Please help, I can't sleep because of this

DON'T START THE ENGINE!!!

The oil has nothing to do with it. This could lead to catastrophic engine failure if the piece gets caught up in the valves or anything else for that matter. Start a new thread in the Under the Hood forum with every detail you can think of!
