Thumbs up Softtop Questions

I couldnt find these answers by searching,

Is there a difference between the blue top and black besides the color? Made from the same stuff? Same quality?

My soft top seems to absorb a lot of water, but it never comes through the inside. Is that normal? I was expecting beading action like on a waxed car. I bought the car used and the previous owner took hoorible care of this car so maybe I just need to buy the top cleaner and clean it up well? Anyways...I guess the real question is....should it bead up or just soak up?

Thanks

The top is vinyl, though it looks like cloth. Blue and black are the same. I don't remember mine beading even when new. I've been using 303 protectant but am changing to Raggtopp next time to hopefully cure the residue on windows issue.
