I love the wrx and would love to import one, but the warranty coverage becomes null/void. Which isnt cool.

The g37 is a pretty sweet car. I drove one the other day for some time and was impressed. The S will be missed, but the G can remedy your feelings for the time being. Way to man up and do the required steps to starting a family.

hmm i didn't consider the fact that the TL now came in AWD which would definately affect the mpg. however, the previous TL's got great MPG on the highway and decent overall. in fact, i just got 33.8 mpg all highway going 75-80 right now from NY to ME. can the g35 do that? hell no. they average like 16-18 and even on highway they won't get past 25. but besides mpg, the TL has better build quality. nissan can't catch up to the quality of honda and toyota. again, all this is my opinion so if you disagree feel free to do so...everyone has different taste.

but to OP def. consider the TL if you are thinking about a G35x.

A pic of our stable from last year. We sold the '06 S2K after we bought the G35X because it is such a hoot to drive. But once this summer arrived we started going through S2K withdrawl so we found a pristine '02 with 14,500 miles on it and couldn't be happier.

Our "new to us" '02

Although the Infiniti is a great car I have a feeling that eventually you'll be back in an S2000.

The problem is the current gen TL is amazingly ugly IMO(and I really liked the previous gen). I could never get past the grill, no matter how well it may drive. I would look at a previous gen TL-S. The G37x is a better looking car and the 3.7 V6 is pretty sweet too. Good luck on your search.

don't waste money on an infiniti...get an acura TL. much more solid than the fat gas hog g37.
The new TL is fugley IMO. The grille looks like a cheese grater! We owned an '05 TL which was a sweet looking car but had lots of quality issues : faded dash, falling headliner, numerous rattles and suspension noises. Our G35, which we bought used, has been absolutely trouble free in 30,000 miles. My only complaint is the chrome grille is prone to chipping.
I think the TSX looks much better than the TL and it is available with the TL's V6 for 2010.

As much as I like Honda, prev. gen. TL shows its FWD limits... Unlike teh 3-series, it dives under corners.

However, the new gen Acura TL SH-AWD, as much as it is ugly, has unreal handling. I would really not miss the 3-series handling with the 09 Acrura TL SH-AWD.

One issue I have with Nissan/Infiniti is that it does not match Honda/Acura when it comes to refinement, built quality, fit and finish...

I was checking infiniti's at the dealership today... the interiors are awesome, the seats are beyond perfect. Although, I am coming from a 03 Cavalier as a DD hahaha. But the interior alone is a reason to NOT go with a 3-series.

I am going to check out the Acuras shortly. But I think I got my heart set of the G37x

What color G are you interested in? My first G was Black Obsidian, and while it looked great when clean, it was just a lot of work to keep it clean.......and I own a detailing business too. I ended up going with Garnet Ember for my second G and love the color.

Well, I would love a black G with black leather....but seems you cant get that combo with g37x. They only offer that combo with the G37 Journey
