I put Shin-etsu on just about every weather seal on my car atleast once a year... The top seals, hood/trunk seals, and also the door seals.

Yeah applying it to all rubber components isn't a bad idea regardless of where they are. All American Honda dealers have it, and all parts dept's can order it. If they tell you they can't, find the parts manager. It's not a big deal.

It's not a bid deal to use your bare hands with it.

I do. It seems to wear off on its own. You don't need to use very much at all on them.

Yes and yes, it leaves marks. What can you do? I use it as a reminder. No marks, time to reapply. Good stuff otherwise.

I use a cloth to apply it. It works better if you can clean the seals a bit before applying it. I've let it touch my skin (also silicon lubricant spray), and it didn't experience any problems (just washed my hands when I was done), but who knows, maybe I'll get cancer in 10 years.

This reminds me that I need to apply some to the sunroof seal on the Accord. It's getting really sticky and trying to rip itself off. That car has the stickiest seals I've ever encountered. The doors seals make rubbing noises when you go over bumps unless they've JUST been lubed. Pain in the ass.

I have an extra tube of Shin-Etsu Grease, for anyone needing some.

I received some in a parts order, I wasn't expecting.

For those in Canada. the Honda and Acura Dealers will not / can not sell this.

I am in Canada.

let me know if you are interested in buying.
No longer avialable.
