Default Some Help with my S

Hey all just need your opinion on this here is the story. Well down in San Diego last night and all this morning it was raining pretty hard. I went out to a friends work at about 2 and started up my car got about 50 yards from my house the car starts sputtering and missfireing and then just dies. I tried starting it again and it did but was missing so bad I shut it off very fast. I got it back to my driveway and right after I turned it off a decent amount of like white smoke was coming out of hte exhaust pipes. I have a AEM V2 installed on the car and I have read that people plug up the drain plug over the intake but I am not sure if I want to do that. I went back about 4 hours later and the car started find and seemed ok but I was to nervous to drive it again. Anyways I was just curious if this sounded like hydrolock to anyone who has had this same experience. If this is the case then I will be selling my V2 and go with a comptech or something of that nature. Thanks in advance for the help.

I thought it never rains in San Diego?

Sorry, can't really help you. Up here in Seattle where it rains a lot, my totally stock S has never had a similar problem.

**UPDATE** Well I decided to give it another try after letting it dry out a bit and I am very very not happy. I drove to the gas station and it seemed ok under like 4 thousand RPM but after it close to 4K it started sputtering again. I made it to the gas station pulled the dip stick and I think there is water in there seems like the dipstick was wet and the oil seemed to be a little on the thin side kinda watery. REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I am going to have to put the stock air box back on it and then take it to honda and hopefully they wont say to much about anything else.

The water can't get into the oil...

1. Water and Oil don't mix.
2. There is no way water can get into the oil unless you put it there.

I think you are being too paranoid... But definitely take it back to Honda ;p

any update with this???? i am very curious as to what happened
i find it difficult to believe that the intake sucked up water into your engine...unless the filter was immersed in water???

wft!!!!same here with the V2!! I brought my S to the 10k servise to the dealer.pick it up, let it idle for 5 minutes, pay the bill, take it easy and as I reach 4000rpm the car make spounds I never wanna hear again in my whole life. They were washing the car and the engine bay and I think the filter got wet. After a few minutes of driving the problem was gone, but I will be scared for the next 100 years because of that sound and the things the car was doing. Car is running fine now, so do I need to do ANYTHING to the engine?
