Some random things I noticed with my S.
1) I noticed that when my car is turned off. I can actually shift into 1st from neutral without pushing in the clutch (I did it accidently).
2) At low speeds, when I shift into 1st sometimes the transmission makes a "clunking" sound
3) I have to actually drop the hood from a good height in order to close it. How do u close the hood if u add something like a hood damper? I cannot even push the hood down softly because the force will probably dent or bend the metal.
U guys experience these things as well?

#1 - normal
#3 - normal - the manual says you should drop the hood from 12-15inches. Should be the same with hood dampers. DO NOT push the hood closed (unless you have a CF hood)
#2 - im pretty sure thats not a good thing

#2 Try blipping the throttle to go into first at very low speed without the clunk. I think it's kinda tricky myself, maybe I just suck.
#3 I'm not sure what a hood damper is, but if its like shock absorber that won't let the hood fall, then you MIGHT be ok closing the hood by pushing on it ONLY IF your hand was positioned directly adove striker and latch. So any pressure from your hand is not transmitted through the hood to the latch, only straight down through the striker and latch mechanism. I don't know if that makes any sense. ALSO I HAVE NEVER TRIED THIS, IT IS ONLY SPECULATION, SO TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. IT IS PROBABLY A BAD IDEA AND YOU COULD END UP WITH A NASTY DENT.
