Default Some S2000 drivers are real A-holes.

I just don't understand it. I found myself behind (a rare occurrence) a red S2000 yesterday. I followed him closely, but at a safe distance for about ten minutes until the road widened to two lanes. After that I pulled up beside him thinking we would exchange the usual thumbs up or something. NOTHING, no response whatsoever! I beeped my horn but he just kept facing forward as if I didn't exist! I can't even begin to understand the thinking of a person like that.

I know one thing for sure, he couldn't have been a member of our forum.

The guy sounds more clueless than anything. At least he didn't give you a dirty look. Too bad he didn't acknowledge/see you though, that's one of the cool things about driving this car.

That's a bit of a harsh judgement on someone who may not have seen you (yes, some people never look in their mirrors) or who may have been on the phone...

Does that really make him an a-hole? He might not have a clue why you are beeping at him or waving.

I always try to wave on the very rare occasion that I see another S2000. But I refuse to be required to do so.

Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe, to him, the S2000 is just another car. There is nothing in the manual that says you have to be friendly to other owners.

This has happened to me on several occassions ... I've come to the conclusion that 1) some people just don't care or 2) They think you want to race them, so they aren't looking over in order to "avoid" it.

Of course there are always people who drive around totally oblivious to their surroundings too.

I`ve had this happen to me a few times when I`m in my CRX or a friends Civic. They assume I`m a reject from F&F and won`t even give me the time of day. If it`s 100% safe and there is nobody around, I usually just lay the smack down on them
