Is something else wrong?
So, I took my AP1 (2003) into honda yesterday, because my steering was feeling extremely loose when I would make a left turn. Turning to the right felt fine. I checked the tire pressure, rims, bushings, etc and I couldn't find anything so I let Honda deal with it since it is still under warranty.
Well they kept it over night and told me that they couldn't replicate the loose steering (of course) but they found that a bracket that holds the A arm in place was loose. They kept the car overnight because they said they wanted to test it in the morning because it was raining here and said it was to dangerous to do the testing in the rain.
Anyways, the service advisor called me a few minutes ago, and told me that the mechanic talked to Honda and they said that the area where the bracket is, is a known soft spot in the frame and they have to mig weld some reinforcement on this spot.
Has anyone else heard of this soft spot? Also, should I demand they re-align the car too? I've already left a message asking if they are going to. I figure if they are pulling the suspension apart, they should have to realign it.
