Default something to think about?

ok my real question is this. if both engine are 2 litre engines why is the F20 1997 CC and the K20 is 1998 CC?? the F20 bore is 87 MM and the stroke is 84 MM. the K20 bore is 86MM and the stroke is 86 MM. now i thought that when you made the stroke longer you got more torque. F20 torque is 153 lb/ft and the K20 is 142 lb/ft. what makes these two engines different. the answer is probably right in front of me but i'm baffled. try to put in simple terms please.

K20 also has VTC which the F20 doesn't. This allows the cams to be phased and allows the K20 to make more low end torque than the F20.

intake, timing, exhaust, ignition, valve train, cam angles

In other words there are a lot of variables that can change the HP/Tq of a car regardless of cc or stroke/bore
