Default Soon to be a proud owner of the S2K

Hi All,

Due to pick up my honda S2000 in a couple of weeks. Its going to be my new toy for the weekends.

There's obviously a few things needing done to it due to its age and i've been reading through various topics on the forum to get some ideas on getting it back to looking new.

The most common discussion has been about the roof replacement. This is something i need to get done ASAP due to the odd tear hear and there. Although there have been quite a few comments on where to get this done, i was wondering if anyone has tackled it themselves and gone for the 'supply only option'. I'm quite a good DIY type but looking at some of the step by step installation guides, it doesnt appear that easy. Can anyone advise either way. I live in Newcastle (UK) and searched through the web to find a local installer and its not looking good. I am happy to pay a higher price being local, however all i can find is Swansea, Surrey or Birmingham.
Is it worth upgrading to a glass window or should i just stick with a plastic one??

Another issue is the red leather seats. The drivers seat is well worn and i didnt know if anyone has tried using a leather repair kit? I have had a look on ebay for buying a couple of new seats but theyre not cheap. Again does anyone know a good leather repair company in the North East?

Rust to the underside of the rear wheel arches. Has anyone got a rough idea how much this would cost to repair and if there are any other areas i need to keep an eye out for which may start rusting?

Other than that the car appears to be in great condition and i cant wait to take it over the hills to the lake district.

Cheers
