So, with my insurance company totalling my 2003, looks like I'm gonna buy it back and fix it.

Can I/should I, replace the front bumper with a CR one? Is it direct bolt on? Or easy modifications to do it? If so, a DIY anywhere?

will need to trip the metal under the bumper to fit a AP2 bumper properly

 

Trim the edges of the crash bar back, can be done with a dremel I think - search here for info. Also need to get two zip ties because the AP nose has two lower bolts that will not match the AP1 undertay. Other than that, it will fit.

 

I'm gonna have to replace the splash guards underneath as well, so that problem will be solved. Next, I've gotta find out how much a CR lip is in comparison to the AP1 lip I had....

 

CR bumper cover and spoiler. Ap2 front and OEM spoiler would be cheaper.

Well, I checked the parts numbers and prices and they all appear about the same. But you brought up a good point.

The front bumper parts numbers for the 2007, 2008 and 2008CR are all different. So, does anybody know what the difference between them are? I'm gonna have to replace my bumper anyway.

I know you can mount a CR spoiler on any AP2 bumper... id guess the one markes for sale as a CR bumper is predrilled?

 

Ahh, makes sense...

But then, what's the diff between the 07 and 08 bumper?
