I'm also interested but not interested in adding 25lbs to the car.

if you can may be have 2 different kits that go all the way and one that does what you described at the start of this thread it will be breat. 10lbs i can deal with 25 is pushing it.

theres a wealth of knowledge in this thread and i want to thank you all for helping me gain some insight on sound deadening proceedures and materials. i will be using some of the techniques and materials i learned about in this thread to quiet down my s2k and my upcoming purchase, an sti.. which is also a 'loud' car.

cant wait for the results!

25 pounds seems reasonable to me. Depends on exactly what frequencies and noise transmission paths the package is designed to work on. You can add 25 pounds and get nothing, of course, but you can't add effective sound treatment for no weight. If you guys were expecting serious amounts of noise control for a pound or two, dream on.
