Am I imagining this or did I read somewhere that Honda will void the warranty if you place aftermarket wheels on the car??

That's not true. I've seen a few new S2000's being sold w/ aftermarket wheels from various dealers. Even CAI's and exhausts are cool w/ dealers.

    I think they put that in there in case someone puts on wheels and doesnt mind the offset or stagger.

    Lets put it this way...if you bought aftermarket wheels that only had 4 holes and u somehow jammed them on and that caused the studs to bend of course your warrentee on those studs wont be effective. However, they can't void your warrentee for your guage cluster because you have aftermarket rims. They have the burden of proof to show that your modifcations was the proximate cause of the premature failure of the car part.
