Speeding, test pipes, and morality

For those that believe slower is safer (better), why not lower speed limits to 25?
It certainly would be 'safer' under your logic. If the argument is safety, there are bigger things to worry about than 20 over the limit.
For those against cat removal because of pollutants, why not insist all cars have tiny, miniscule engines?
Why is it ok to take ANY non-essential trip in your car? If you are driving simply to enjoy the experience, or to track, or not ensuring that you do all of your shopping and errands in one well coordinated trip, choose to own a car rather than walk or use public transport or bicycle, you are needlessly adding polutants to our planet. Your are burning gas on every mile you drive (cat or no cat).
The guy who complains about folks driving without a cat (and harming our world) is woefully misguided, as he harms the planet every day for his own enjoyment (but that's all AOK since he has his cat).
He bitches simply because his enjoyment comes from things different than the cat-less driver.
The cat-less driver is a villian, but the guy who takes a drive through the mountains on a pretty day, or the guy who does not minimize his drive time for efficiency in fuel consumption is a saint.
Both are contributing in a negative way (from a pollution and consumption of natural resources). One is a villian and one is guiltless...simply due to the differing ways folks like to recreate.

I have a cat and use 1 tank of gas every 3-4 weeks, Ill definitely be deemed a Saint when i die, hell, I have never even been found guilty of speeding either! Guess that makes you a good person? Who cares about the dead bodies and tons of drugs ^^

Excellent argument: clear, unambiguous, articulate, erudite, and completely on point. Thanks for your contribution.
To all the test pipe advocates, I submit to you an announcement on the latest research on Global Warming, a phenomenon proven to be associated with things emitted from internal combustion engines.

Speeding - If everyone is going 70 and the posted is 60, then it's safer to go with the flow. People that cut in and out of slower traffic are idiots. Then again people who do 50 in a posted 60 are too because they will only cause the people behind them to get impatient and do something dangerous.
Test Pipe: The environment isn't like a light switch, you are contributing to the problem more so then the average person.
EX. if 500 cars with test pipes are emitting 4x the polutants, then it's like have 2000 cars on the road.
There are shades of grey, if you are an extremist then take the bus/walk/bike to your destination.

I wonder if installing a test pipe on my John Deere lawn mower would make it go faster? I would just love to be able to make that thing scream so I could wake up the neighbors easier and I suppose cruise around the lawn a little quicker too!
Oh, thats right. Of all of the millions of gas powered lawn mowers, blowers, trimmers, tractors, and virually every type of gas or deisel powered lawn equipment doesn't have a catalytic converter. On wonder why not?
For certain, I see thousands of gasoline powered lawn mowers used every year and I might see 12 S2k over the same period. But for some reason, I believe those that are critical of the use of test pipes are overreacting since the air polution and heating up of the planet's tempatures are not due to a few Honda S2000 sports cars. There are studies that show the harmful effects of the emissions from gas powered lawn equipment.

Sheesh, can't any of you read? I've only mentioned this about five times in this thread.
