Default speedometer normal? w/ UPDATED pics

First I would like to apologize for muti-post on this subject. However I need your replies to prove to Honda dealer's service manager/mechanic that this is not normal for S2000.

As I stated in the previous post, I have brand new 05 S2000 with 3k miles. After 2 weeks, I noticed that speedometer was illuminating improperly (refer to illustrations). Apparently these pics are NOT REAL but this is what I see... plus couple other gaps in the numbers. This gap appears after driving for 3 miles or so and it gets bigger.

After 2 attempts to fix the problem, replacing:

PANEL, COMBINATION PRINT
PANEL, PRINT (1)
LCD ASSY.
COVER, COLUMN (UPPER)
pics of parts

the dealer gave up. Hence I was told by the service manager to file this problem with Honda Corp. Unfortunately the service manager told Honda Corp. that speedometer was "working as designed" and so my file was rejected.

My question to S2000 owners: IS THIS "NORMAL" OR "NOT" FOR S2000? Please reply with answer and/or comment. Thank you.

Granted this is a pic from the day I picked it up, but I can attest this is the way it is now. I would have noticed a gap like that.

well... i was told that cluster comes in parts only... not in whole. so parts listed above are the only ones replaced.

I have a 2005 and it has done that once in the same location on my evening commute. The next day it was mysteriously gone and I haven't noticed it since.

The next time I have mine up to 125 mph, I'll check. Hahaha.

And NO, I don't think that is normal.
