I have an 04 with a little over 6k on it and I do not have that problem. I do not think that is normal. I do not think how you are treated by the dealer is normal either.

Good luck!

LCDs work as segments. A connection problem would kill a segment or segments making an "8" look like a "3" or a "0" like a "C" (two dead segments) or a "6" like an "E" (one dead segment).

What appears to be happening here is a defect in the LCD panel itself, and I'm talking avout the LCD material, not the underlying electronics.

I also find it highly unlikely that two defective panels would show the same exact defect.

What they dealer likely did was replace everything but the LCD itself or whatever assembly the LCD was part of. Until they replace the LCD screen, they can change the rest of the electronics until the cows come home. The problem ain't getting fixed.

I don't think the dealer is necessarily the one to get mad at here; they replaced all the parts they thought were causing the problem. Maybe there is nothing more they can do for you.

My suggestion is to try and take it to another Honda dealer; see what they tell you.

No, this is not normal to answer your survey question.

looks kinda like a LCD computer screen that is about to fail...portions go black then it all dies. Get the LCD portion replaced and it should be fine.

How can the dealer just give up when defective parts are clearly visible? Good luck because that is NOT normal.

#12 sure looks like the LCD.

I still say that finding two of them with the exact same defect is highly unlikely.

I have an '05 as well. What you're experiencing is not normal...at least I haven't seen anything like it. I agree that you should try another dealer.
