here's my idea.. instead of seeing 5-10 'lost control' threads every time i look at the s2000 talk page, can we make a 'driver technique' forum/discussion area? it's been well documented (the dead horse is hardly recognizable), and it's taking up space - anyone with me?

I second that.

I think a driver technique forum is a great idea. Some threads on this subject have been well received. I don't think though, that it is an implied or explicit substitute for gathering knowledge. And I don't think anyone should be afraid to ask these kinds of questions. The results seem to speak for themselves.

BTW, I'm in the lost it but got it back group. If you are in the lost it but didn't get it back group, you may want to review this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=36792

There are also changes you can make to your if you want it to be more controllable. And no, you don't need to lose a measurable amount of performance. They are here for the searching.

On second thought, actually the numbers are hard to decipher when you factor in the number of views with the number of votes.

We're counting track events, right?

Minor damage when I lost control exiting turn 6 at sears point coming onto the straight; I lost the rear end. I was on unshaved RA-1s (never again!!!), premature apex (driver error, oops) and oil on the track (a leaky car from earlier sessions).

I had to be realigned, and need a new front bumper. I have scratches/paint damage on my headlights, windshied, hood and left fender. A moderate dent in my left fender from the tire barrier I plowed through. I bottomed out and the exhaust was pressed against the rear bumper so there is some slight heat deformation, but that took me 3 months to notice.

Just on the track...........entered turn 1 at Gingerman too fast. Easy to get back pointing the right way on the track with a 180 degree powerslide! Greg Stevens caught it on video!

On the street, my car is a little squirrelly when the tires are cold though.
