Agree, but just to clarify they are not equal 1:1 ratios with the standards that we use hp and lbs of torque
yupp

1 ps = 0.986 hp (SAE)
1 hp = 1.01 ps

1 nm = .74 lb/ft
1 lb/ft = 1.35 ps

(all numbers are rounded off)

...so in conclusion--only people with HUGE budgets should get this & even then, why? f20c for the win

My 2 Cents: The torque in Nm was already covered, but as far as I know, tuners like Amuse or Spoon meassure power at the wheel hubs (saw it in several videos, they call it PS what is basically a translation of the german Pferdestaerken=Horse power). So I don't think they would sell an engine that makes the same power as a stock F22C.

I believe that the F22C is NOT available in japan. Perhaps this is a way to get such engine over there ?

Apparently it will be in the '06 Japanese spec S2000. The only market still getting the 2.0L is Europe. Strange..

144,900 Yen = $1,198.80144

That seems cheap for a stroker kit, let alone JDM. What am I missing here

Apparently, Honda Japan just released the AP2 with F22C engine.

Price is about right. Spoon claims the 2.2L into F20C will make the same HP as the AP2 F22C engine.

Gotta be a tad more with the Spoon valve cover

Anyone have an idea what the corresponding parts from Honda USA would cost?

How much (roughly) does a used 04+ shortblock go for?
