Default Spoon N1 exhaust

i had a few question on this exhaust, ill start off.

what type of exhaust tone does this exhaust make?
raspy?deep & loud? hi-pitch

does it sound anything like a tanabe?
ive heard 3 videos, all three from the s2ki library, but i know that it wont do justice to the tone. ive listen to the tones, and it sounds clean and loud. i do realize that since its a single it will be louder. this isnt my daily.

also, have any of you had any sort of problem along the line of running this exhaust? leaks? cheap welds?

also, how long have you owned it?

so far ive asked a few members already. ive goten misc responds.

i hope this thread will help me and people looking for this type of exhaust. i know i wanted to ask mroe, but i cant think off the top of my head.

---------------------------------------first member. ----------------------------------

there is that drone round 2-3,000 rpm....the drone is basically a loud, deep, raspy sound felt between those rpms...

----------------------------------another mention---------------------------------------

aftermarket exhaust, spoon n1. i had a problem wiht an exhaust leak a while back too... where the exhaust meets the cat, right behind the flange (exhaust side) the piping started to crack, had to have a shop re-weld it
now this is happening where the flange's meet. where can i get a new gasket?

this member bought his used w/ about 8k miles (give or take)

Car drove fine a good 10k ...started hearing an exhaust leak...

s2ki member: On the exhaust side.. right where the flange met the cat the exhaust broke itself off.. there was literally 1/2" keeping the exhaust together.
s2ki member: Nah, only way you can really tell, if you stand to the side of the car. you can hear it coming from under the car.
s2ki member: So i had the weld fixed.. next thing i know.. 2 weeks later its like poltergiest..
Me: do you know anyone esle having this problem?
S2ki member: Where the exhaust met the Cat i had a leak.
Me: was the material of the ehxuast crumbling ?
s2ki member: Way i can tell.. jacked up car on one side & looked under.. the flange had black marks on it.. where the gases were leaking.
s2ki member: started car.. and lit a lighter to it... and 2500 rpms it would blow the flame out.
s2ki member: that was a TERRIBLE leak.
Me:did u get it fixed again?
s2ki member: So i have gone out and purchased a JIC test pipe... installed it.
s2ki member: Havent driven the car since (1

In my 1.5 yrs of ownership, I never had a problem except getting silencer out. but my friend from this board got it out with a lot of WD-40 later on.

Drone - around 4 - 5000 RPM.
sound - it's a pure race car sound. some has told me it sounded like Mack truck others told me it was a jet. And I heard both from someone else's spoon. from cabin, after v-tec is a melody of engine.
loudness - it's one of loudest. it might be even louder than invidia.

I felt that back is very light after switching from stock.
silencer is pretty much useless. it's louder than amuse even with silencer.

I loved spoon for it's sound but after going FI, tone changed such that exhaust is not coming out fluently. I think it's the best exhaust for NA.

You are looking from product opinion and thus, this does not belong in UTH.
