sport compact car s2000 comptech review
anyone seen the new august issue of scc? cover of mag has an s2000 on the top. all of these magazines seem to be using the s2000 quite a bit - super street, scc, etc. they review comptech's sc s2000. gave it a great review, although the 0-60(5.7) seemed a little slower than expected. qtr mile was strong at 13.8/103.9. "S2000online member time - "Sev" time 00 S2k CDN# 700 13.855 @ 100.356 MPH Stock" Do the magazines just not beat the crap out of it?
It was interesting to read about what they thought of the car in general, particularily the rear suspensionand effects of lowering it. They talked about an "overly aggressive stock rear toe curve making the cars hard to drive to the limit when lower than stock" has anybody else experienced this with their suspension mods? my guess is you really have to be pushing the car to get to these limits. But the article gave a very positive tone about the supercharger and how well it mounted and performed.

13.8 in the quarter?
I bet my N/A S2K (the daily driver not the race car) can match that.
Times should be more like very low 13s.
As for lowering the car, there's a nice Mugen article around here that says how you can tame the S2K handling tendencies by playing with height. Our race car is lowered and the handling is more predictable than stock.

Word is the latest issue of Motor Trend also tests the Comptech S2K. Results?
13.4@108
ET isn't great (0-60 was only like 5.1 compared to 5.2 they got with a stock car), but the trap speed is where it should be (or close at least). With a more low end torque biased setup the ET would probably drop significantly.

Can you say 4.55 differential!
Even the Spoon at 4.33 could provide a pretty good boost.
