I would just like to vouch for the quality and workmanship that goes into these Spugen exhaust systems. I have seen countless others before me get these systems, and now I have one too. The reason I chose this system is because of a couple of reasons, first and foremost, performance, and secondly, Price, you can't beat $395 bolt on exhaust that out performs the Mugen($1200+) or the Spoon( $900), and the quality and craftsmanship, plus it's an American-made exhaust, no waiting for those shipments from Japan. Just my 2 cents.....

I'm sorry but the $245 price is the weld on kit. For the single bolt on kit, it would cost $395 plus shipping.

Thanks,

Duc

Magnaflow has not made the oval tips for these mufflers yet. Perhaps in the near future.

I had the spugen exhaust installed on my S a couple of months ago at the Spugen shop. Since then I have been a satisfy customer. Let me tell you, considering the price, it's probably the best bang for the buck, not to mention the unit is lighter and more aggressive looking than the stock system. As far as sound, someone on the s2ki board did a DB test and recorded the following readings within vtec range: Stock 88db, Magnaflows 92db, Comptech 96db, HKS 96+ db. One of the reason I choose the Spugen exhaust is b/c it's not too loud compare to other systems on the market. I want to still be able to carry a conversation or listen to the music with the top down and definitely don't want to lose my hearing after a while. However, if you prefer, the single setup is noticeably louder than the dual setup. When you first start the engine, you immediately notice the deep and throaty sound of the system at idle. As the RPM rises toward vtec, the sound increases and smooth out. but once you hit vtec, it definitely screams. However, the sound is not intrusive while cruising in top gear. As far as performance, I do notice a small gain only at the hight RMP range. I have not done any dyno testing on my car, but other ppl have reported as hight as about 8hp gain for dual setup and 10hp for a single setup. Overall, I am very impressed with the system as far the quality of the magnaflow exhaust and craftsmanship of the spugen shop is top-rated. PM AHHVTEC (Duc) or suzukablus2k (nathan) for more details since these guys are very knowleageable and informative about the system. Later.

Le
