For anyone who hasn't heard about this exhaust and curious to know, here are some links that have info of how Spugen's name got started, sound clips/videos and various pics of different set ups:
maakky1, to answer your questions....the oval version is actually a bit quieter than the round cannister version due to more material packing on the inside of the muffler. How much difference between the two has to be measured by the decibel meter. The most popular choice so far has been the oval version with double wall tips. If you like the deep throaty tone from the exhaust then this is the one I think you'd like. It's quiet but has a low humming tone at idle. However, it screams in the VTEC zone. Everyone who has these Spugen exhausts installed is very happy so far. I have mine for about 3 months now and love it more and more every time driving my S. Just MHO. Here are some pics of mine to share:
wantone and SECRET AP1, that was my first concern/wish, too. For the local S owners, you can have the weld-on kit installed with the mufflers as straight as you wish. Also, the round cannister version gives more room than the oval type. However, the flanges don't allow much room to play on bolt-on kits. Plus AHHVTEC is right.....keeping the bending minimal allowing better air flow so the air doesn't choke at sharp bends. The pics don't do justice for these exhausts. They look much better in person.
Hey Suzukablu... Just had the springs installed yesterday. I'll probably wait a couple of weeks before I take some pics - want to get an alignment and let the springs settle a bit. Pics to follow!
