Default SPUGEN Exhaust Question

I am considering purchasing a aftermarket exhaust for my car and clearly SPUGEN seems to be the best exhaust going for the money right now.

I was looking at the single canister style muffler but am concerned that it might be a little too noisy. My reasons for looking at the single are the greatest weight savings and it being less restrictive than a dual. It also doesn't hurt that it happens to be the least expensive exhaust that SPUGEN sells.

I don't care about loosing the dual exhaust so appearance is NOT a factor at all. I want the most bang for my buck without it being too loud. I don't drive the car on a daily basis, but am concerned about the loudness of a single when I want to leisurely driving the car with my wife and have a conversation.

Which of the SPUGEN exhausts do you think I should purchase ?
Is the single louder than the dual ? Does it sound much different tone wise ?
Is their a weight savings going with a single vs dual ?
Is their a power gain thats noticeable with either of the exhaust ?

I have the Spugen Single. It's about 25lbs, I think stock is 47lbs. It's louder than stock, but not bad; not like the TI exhausts. I think the Spugen Dual only saves a few pounds. Both dyno'ed about the same (+5hp). Tone is deeper for the single, I haven't heard the dual. My car is noticably quicker with the new exhaust. I changed from a dual Neuspeed, that I can tell now was slowing me down.

I was concerned about my Spugen exhaust being too loud also, to the extent that I almost left the stock resonator on the car. I'm so glad I didn't. Once you hear your S sound like the sports car it is and not like a stock Odyssey...you simply won't care. It'll be like "Honey, can we talk later...? you know I only get to hear my car when I'm driving and we can talk any time...(smack)" (Spugen dual oval/oval)

1. Get the dual oval or the single round with Ti tip.
2. Get bolt-on. Period.
3. Forget about the weight.
4. Forget about the noise

With the bolt-on, you always have the option of going back to stock...

5. I've got a hundred bucks that says you never will...

I think you will like the exhaust. The sound is great and only a bit louder than stock. I have heard the spoon single and it is loud.

the stainless can is louder. The Ti tip is LOUDER! once you have it on, you're going to wonder how you ever lived with that *quiet* exhaust before.....

morgan - *smack!* that is too funny! with the dual Ti, she doesn't even have the chance to get a word in, with the silencers out anyway....

Definately go bolt-on. Spugen wants to step up to full stainless piping in the future. Can you say "upgrade"?
