The tires need to be warm and dry for max grip. If they are cold or wet they slip like grease.

Your steering wheel was probably oversteer before you punch it - just keep her half turn while you wait to make the left. And you can punch it while turning at the same time. Otherwise you're a sitting duck waiting to do a donut.

Do a search you'll find a million opinions. Here's mine:
The stock rear tires lack feedback, progressivity and linearity. They don't do a good job of telling you when they are going to let go and they let go pretty suddenly. Your choices are to drive with a bigger margin of safety or change to another high perf tire that communicates better. Also, driving school is a tremendous asset.

If all else fail, my friend who's a CACC Rookie of the year champion suggests this:

Make 3 right turns instead of 1 left.

If, you have the cash to spend... consider a driving school. You will learn to drive your S2000 like a Mario Andretti

The least expensive and easiest way to reduce the chance of this happening again is to participate in a few autocrosses in your area and learn the limits of the car. No matter what hardware you add, nothing beats extra driver education.

My CACC Rookie friend suggested you to take the car out for autocross too.
[QUOTE]If you can't handle it on the course, get a FF, it's way more easier to drive.
