Default Squeak

I have an '02 Suzuka Blue with approx 7,000 miles. It has developed a very annoying squeak from somewhere in the front end area. It seems to get worse after the car has been driven for a while and "loosens up". Anyone else have this problem or know what it might be?

Also, someone accidentally put a 4" blue ballpoint ink line on my dashboard. Any ideas on how to remove it without leaving a mark of some kind?

need more info about the squeak to help you there- the only squeak that i know of that gets worse with warming up is the clutch squeak that some have had.
for the ink mark, i would try a citrus degreaser- home depot sells the stuff in a small bottle, so if it doesnt work its not too expensive!
if the citrus stuff doesnt do it, then XENIT Stain Remover would be my next choice...
be sure to use a good protectant (303 or vinylex) on the dash once you have tried to remove the ink, because you will also be removing all weather protection with any stain removal technique.

I don't think the squeaking is related to the clutch. It is directly related to the smoothness (or lack thereof) of the surface I am driving on. The bumpier the surface, the more it squeaks. The odd thing is that it doesn't squeak for the first several miles after its been sitting for a while.

It sounds like your shocks are gone. Go to your dealer and have them inspect them. If they are rs then it should be under warranty unless it is obvious that you have been rallying your car.

First make sure the dealer took the spring spacers out.

Also. lots of front end squeeks end up being a loose or mis-aligned hood. I would check that out.

Check the sway bar bushings. They may need grease.

BTW not saying that this is definitely the prob just a suggestion.

From my experience with warranty work as soon as you feel tht there might be any problem with your car take it in to them asap and note it down so in the future when they try and blame it on age you have evidence that the problem occured earlier and has persisted.
