On Star vs Lo Jack?
I'm interested in these systems. Can anyone recommend one for theft recovery?
On Star seems to provide many more options, such as navigation, local info, etc, but my primary goal is theft deterrence/recovery.

As far as Onstar giving you navigation and local info, it's really not that great. Onstar has a lot of IDIOTS working for them. Plain out IDIOTS. Luckily, mine was free and they forgot to cancel my account 3 months after it was actually over. They have helped me some what with directions, about 70% of the time, they're crap.
For theft recovery, probably the same. I believe both use GPS...I would think lojack is faster though. If lojack is cheaper, go for that.
oh yea, another thing. The On Star people are FREAKIN SLOW!! Everytime I called, they would always ask me "how do you pronounce your last name sir?" So when I was in a hurry, I was always slowed down by that. I hated it. Also, instead of having real-time GPS, they would have to update your location everytime they wanted to find out where you were. So that's about 30 secs of just sitting there while driving and not knowing where you're going.
