Default Starter issue

Lately I've been having a slight problem with my starter. On cold starts, after the engine engages, and I release the Start button, I get a short choppy buzz as if a berring is chattering or gears are grinding. This does not happen every time I start the car after it's been sitting. It might be days, even weeks before it happens again, or the very next day. The sound lasts maybe a half second.

Has anyone had this problem with their car or do any of you know what it is? I know of one person in my area who owned an '02 with this exact problem(assuming). Never was able to get a tech to diagnose it becuase it happens so sporatically. The same is happening to me. Since it is impossible to predict when it will happen, I can't take it to a place and say "I need a new part".

Any help here would be great. Thanks.
