Default Statistics geeks?

*** 1 YEAR UPDATE ***

Welp, I just crossed the 12 month mark with my car. I am the 2nd owner, when I got her, she had 3282 mi.

Don't know if any of you care, but I can't be the ONLY numbers geek on here, can I?

Totals 1 year cumulative (6 months)
Miles travelled: 12,159 (5000)
Gallons of gas: 606 (262)
Gas cost: $1,808 ($749)
Other maintenance*: $148 ($109)
Total operating cost: $1956 ($858)
$ per mile: 0.16 (0.17)

Averages
$ per tank: $31.18 ($29.96)
$ per gallon: $2.99 ($2.86)
gallons per fill: 10.44 (10.47)
MPG: 20.07 (19.1)

Top Down details
Top UP miles: 1143 (23)
Top DOWN %: 90.6 (99.5)

After one full year, I'm sad to say my top down percentage dropped so far. The good news is that my gas mileage finally broke into the 20's. 20.07 MPG is in the 20's, right?

Other information:
-I live in Southern California.
-The S2k is daily driven, my only car.
-My commute to work is 3.x mi each way, all city.
-I drive the car moderately hard on the street, with the top always down**.
-My longest trip has been a little over 350 mi, up to the Bay Area.

*Other Maintenance: All maintenance costs related to the mechanical upkeep of the car, non-cosmetic. Specifically in the first 12 months- 3 oil changes.
**Top UP miles include a trip up and down to Northern CA (~700 mi R/T) in monsoon rain, as well as numerous short trips in the rain, and ferrying members of the fairer sex home in the evening.

Cool. My better half seems to like my car better with the top up, but even with the top up, she is not a big fan of my car.....so I guess that is not really saying much.

"Its too low. Its noisy. Its too small."....etc. I made the choice to marry her though.

something ain't right wit u, boy. Congrats, N.

it feels like just yesterday when i was pm ing u about deals in socal for used s2ks. if it's been 6 months for u, then me as well. have driven almost 10,000 trouble free miles with no idea on the other stats. i try NOT to keep track of gallons and miles. used to be a record keeper like you until i found that it made me unhappy.

how do u feel about the car in relation to before you got it?

I'm a mild stat geek, but you're certifiable.

I have 4 cars and just last year I began to keep track of how many miles/year I drive each.

but no way I can keep track of each tank of gas that's just insane.
