Where do you keep the fun to drive charts. For me the numbers don't matter. It's a great car that I need to drive as much as possible.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't buy the car to keep numbers on it. The 19.x cumulative MPG should be a good indication of that

WhiteS2k- I got 24 mpg on one of my last tanks, but cumulative is still below 20 after my jaunt up to the Bay Area. Apparently top down 90+ MPH at 5xxx RPM for hours at a time is not good for gas mileage

I'll keep stats on a new car for about 6 months to establish trends. Then possibly check mpg every other month or so after that. Most always check mgp on any trip longer than 800 miles.

I look at the charts when I'm not able to drive the S. both give me joy in different ways.

**12 month update**

On her 1 year birthday, spent over 4 hours washing and waxing her... we're obviously still in the honeymoon phase.

New stats are up. Notable notes for anyone who cares:

-I travelled 2000 more miles in the last 6 months than the first six, which include a trip to Northern CA, and several trips down to San Diego, and up the CA coast.
-The cold, rainy CA winter took its toll on my top down percentage, now sadly down to 9 of every 10 miles
-Highest miles and MPG from one tank: 288 miles, 27.34 MPG, achieved top up driving down I-5 at 75~85 MPH.
-Running MPG now into the 20's, at a blistering 20.07 . Who needs a Prius?

That is impressive- the MPG that is on the highway w/ the top up. The S is capable of being practical after all!!

My car is a daily driver, with short commuting trips that is about half city and half "highway" (but still during commuting hours with congested -- though not stop-and-go -- traffic). I used to average 24 MPG, but now it has dropped to about 22 MPG. But then I always drive with the top down when possible.

i average between 21.5 and 24.5 given the altitudes and differing conditions here in the sf bay area. my trip mileages is usually 28 plus. i have 23,600 on her since new in nov 03, so my warranty will run out in months before my mileage does...and i have not had one problem, nothing, no oil use, nada..oil changes with chevron 10/30 plus regular fluid and filters as needed, that's it.

Your $ per mile doesn't factor in depreciation...
