Default steering problem

I changed the steering wheel month ago. While i was installing it i found a problem, the wheel couldn't be on the center. It means when i turn left to the end, it's about 1 and 1/4 circle. But when i turn right to the end, it's one inch to 1 and 1/4 circle. I know i could switch it one more the toothlike gears to the right, but after i did that, the two sides became opposite.
Do you guys changed the steering wheel got this problem? How can i fix the position? If i go doing the allignment will it be solved??
