Yeah a good test drive is needed. The 2nd S2000 I went to test drive when I was buying one, the salesman gave me the keys and said, "be back in an hour" was an awesome test drive for sure!!

I just bought a new 08 and only have 2500 miles on it so far but this car is faster than you would ever think.

I think kind of the opposite. It did not feel fast at all to me but the driving feel was what sold me. Compared to a Miata yes it will feel fast but I had a car with torque before so felt very slow.

Coming out of an 07 SI it is faster.

test drive one...you have nothing to lose...
when i test drove mine, i didn't even push it that hard but i knew i wanted it....good luck mate...let us know how it goes.

I went years before I was convinced to buy one. The reason? Most dealers didn't advise to go over 6k rpm.

The last dealer (2 years ago) said to 'Run it to 9k rpm on this stretch of road'.

I did and I immediately bought it. No regrets. I still smile every time i get in.
