Default Stereo display shows "code"

My battery went dead this winter. I have jumped it and all seems to be working well, except that when I went to play a disc, I got a message on the display of the stereo saying code, also my scan guage is not working, but my hardwired Valentine radar detector is. Any ideas on the code business? Thank you.

The security code on your radio needs to be reentered. If you don't have it, a dealer can give it to you. You might have to take it to them in person though.

Not sure about the scan gauge...

Look around in your car for a sticker that has the radio code on it. Sometimes there's a sticker in the glove box.

If there's no sticker:

Turn off radio, press and hold #1 & #6 presets while turning the radio on. The display toggles between 2 screens; the first displays a U and some numbers, and the second screen displays an L and some numbers. Ignore the letters and that's your radio's serial#. Ex. U1234 L4321, your serial # is 12344321.

Call any Honda dealer and give them your serial number, they can tell you your radio code.
