If it was that easy I won't be here asking for your help. Like I said this will be a daily driver. Here's are the pros for each car for me right now. S2k = Roadster, better looking, better inteior, reliability, and easy to drive. STI = lots of torque, fast, four doors, easier to add HP. The s2k interior is pretty tight, I am not very tall but its no sedan thats for sure. The STI is load during normal driving, I am talking about tire noise, and the clutch is heavy. So that is where I am at right now, I already found both S2k or STI that I would buy just couldn't get any sleep for the last three days deciding on which one.
Well I never considered an STI because that bookshelf on the trunk is a turnoff for me. A guy I used to work with had one and while it's a great car for power and handling (and probably a better DD for any nasty weather days) I think the interior of the STI is cheap looking and very uncomfortable for me.

Bottom line was I wanted a convertible and IMO the s2k is the best convertible that doesn't cost 100k

ok i just bought my s2k on tuesday and i also had to pick between the s2k and the sti. I have drove my friends 07 STI and i never even drove the S2k and bought it. Plain and simple the s2k is the most fun car you can drive. Just listen to everyone on this forum and how they talk about their cars. It handles amazing. IF you know how to drive. If this is your first real sports car the STI will be easier for you because it is more forgiving. IF you are a good driver and can shift very well then the S2K will keep a smile on your face at all times. My friend loves to come and drive my car even though he has a sti. the s2k is just fun to shift and drive. If you love driving get the s2k. It is the purist driver's car.

In a perfect world, I would say both.

But in a quick sentence, I would say if you need practicality, the Sti, if not, the S.

The evo drives better to me than the sti.

The transmission on the sti isnt as smooth as the s2000. which i enjoy in the s2000.

the sti suspension is very stiff. the wrx seems more practical. i live in nyc/ nj where the roads arent the greatest~

I guess you are a troll with an EVO. No, they are right next to each other in terms of everything IMO and I have driven both.

And what does this have to do with the thread subject again?

Off the line or top-end? Do you know how to drive a RWD car well? If so its ALOT more fun than any AWD ever will be. STIs are not that great, I raced one the first night I had my car off a roll and pulled on it. Both were bone-stock.

The STi either wasn't racing you, or you had a pretty good roll. As the STi is fast enough and capable enough to destroy a S2k in terms of straight line acceleration.
