Are there any numerically lower gears than the 4.10 to replace in the diff? Could be a substitute if you are willing to sacrifice some quickness.

It has 400 lb/ft of torque, much of which can be found at 2000 rpm. It doesn't have a problem with lugging in 6th gear at highway speeds.

the corvette's 6th gear is very tall but 5th gear is also an overdrive gear. in fact the corvette's 5th gear is significantly lower than our 6th.
corvette's 6th is just a gas saver gear, which i really like. oh and by the way it is a sports car, not an econo box which somone else mentioned.
i understand the lack of torque and high-strung nature of the s2000 but they could lower it a bit. however most people don't care or enjoy things the way they are
