Default stock ECU adaptative?

is our stock Honda ECU adaptative? (will adaptive to our driving style or new mod, so the ECU will need time to adapt to our driving styling or new mod)

or it is just fixed?

thanks

It's somewhat adaptive. You should talk to Ultimate Lurker to find out more. He knows a lot about the ECU.

The ECU adapts in two main ways. These are known as long term and short term fuel trim. The short term fuel trim is a percentage number that is determined by how far off the A/F mixture is during closed loop (part throttle operation). The long-term fuel trim is determined by a sort of rolling average of the STFT. When you go to WOT, the short term fuel trim is ignored, but LTFT is applied.

When making a modification that affects mixture, the ECU does have the ability to learn the mod, within limits. However, some mods have a noticeably more significant effect at full throttle than they do at part throttle, so ideally you should have some way to at least tweak the fuel tuning (VAFC at a minimum).
