storage insurance

Default storage insurance

Hi,

Can I put storage insurance on S2000 during the winter if the car is financed thru Honda?

Check your state rules and regs. In Ohio if your car is registered with current plates then the insurance companies are not supposed to let you drop your regular insurance to go to storage rates.

I dropped the Liability, but kept the comprehensive on the car. This should satisfy the finance company whoever they are.

Or, if you can't drop it completely, like in OH, then see if you can change your coveral to a smaller ammount of liability with a HUGE deductable for the winter. That should drop the rate, even if you have to keep the car insured.

I was told by my insurance company I have to keep comprehensive. They didn't tell me anything about dropping that would not conform with Ohio law.

Check with your finance co., too. Some have minimum coverages that you agree to when you sign the contracts...especially leases.
