Default Storing the S for several years?

So I know there's plenty of people store their S for the winter season and I know there's page full of what to do for that.
Now my question is, what should I do for an extended period of time like maybe 2~4 yrs?
I'm in the military and thinking about volunteering to go for oversea assignment for several and not taking the S with me. Maybe go over there and pick up something different or a bike maybe. But I want to keep my S in the state and hopefully without having anyone having to looking over it while I'm gone.

Any inputs welcome!

I would have a close friend or family member take it out for drives every so often while your gone. JMHO though.

pay a local kid 2 bucks to start it up, drive it around. You'll also want him to engage VTEC once every month so it doesnt seize up. Also, if he has the patience, claybar and a good wax job.

Can't help you too much but I'm going to Afghanistan in January 2010 and I'm just leaving it in the garage at my parents house and my dad is going to drive it for me every so often. Only thing I can think of.

Definitely get someone to drive it once a month if possible- if a family or good friend can't do it, maybe another enthusiast who lives near you has extra garage space and would be willing to take care of it for a small fee. Bring it to MT and I will keep my eye on it for you

Otherwise- fresh fluids all around, get some of those curved ramps to park on so the tires won't flat spot, stabil in the tank or maybe even consider draining the gas, etc. You could buy one of those giant vacuum seal bags that sucks the moisture out.

To be honest, I would NOT leave the car sitting never started for 2+ years. The very thought of it makes me shudder!

I've thought about doing this as well (also military). I'll be keeping an eye on this thread...

Sell it and put the money in a CD and buy another one when you get back.

If you are going to store it - no problem.

Don't worry about the engine siezing if not used in a while - that is total The engine is covered in oil, why would it sieze?!

The only issue you would have is deformity of the tyres/bushes.

Get it up on axle stands in a nice dry place.

Job done.
