Default Straight Pipe ?

I have been thinking about cutting the oem exhaust right after the cat and running a staight pipe from there back.I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if it would any amount of power?

Yes, it's been done. Yes, you'll make power.

For real excitement, have it dump right in front of the right rear tire.

For a NA s2k, I don't think there is any way that you will make power with no exhaust (ie. straight pipes) since you need some type of back pressure. I think you will lose power. If you were turbo that would be a different story, but since your not its a pretty bad idea. Do you have any clue how loud that would be? Unbolt your exhaust at the cat and listen to how horrible it sounds then come back here and ask yourself why you ever wanted straight pipes.
