Default Strut tower brace fitment issues on MY04's??

Bought an RM strut tower brace that, when installed, would not allow the hood to shut cleanly. Has anyone else with an 04' had any fitment issues with this piece or any other strut tower brace?

Suggestions on one that will fit would be appreciated.

you're not alone....many strut braces, including my SPOON one, just slightly touched the insulation on the underside of the hood, preventing it from shutting like it did before.

Just adjust your hood latch and you'll be fine.

03-AP1- Kinda a newbie to modding anything on cars, but it isn't hard to adjust the hood latches to fit that Spoon stb is it? Probably just loosening, adjusting, then tightening some bolts right?

its 4 bolts.

loosen all 4, shift the latch upwards a tad, tighten all 4.

You can also adjust the rubber bumpers. Just turn them clockwise or counter to raise or lower them.

03_AP1, after the adjustments, does the hood still fit flush with the rest of the body panels?

blazin....naturally, the hood won't sit as low as before. Depending on how much you need to adjust for it to close properly will determine how flush the hood will sit.

Mine sits about 2-3mm higher than before. Unless you get on your knees, put your head on the car and look sideways across the front, you can't notice that it sits higher.

Good luck!!
