Stuck in Snow?
Years ago, I left a thread on here dangling that I can now finally wrap up.
My decision to let my rear snow tires wear off to 2 mm tread fell flat on its face today, with 12 inches of snow on the ground. I knew I had to do something, and I was able to change my right tires, but garage space required that I go out, turn around, and drive the car back in. Just that short trip was enough to get completely stuck.
Here's the thing I left dangling: in snow or sand, low tire pressure can get you out of a jam. But it takes a long time for all that air to get out. I ran both rear tires down to 12 PSI, which took about 20 minutes. After that, though, I had as much grip as I would have in my wife's Subaru. I parked up in the garage, where I can add the air back in.
Because, of course, 12 PSI isn't good for driving on the road; but it's good to get you out of real trouble if you need it. Put that in your back pocket. It works for every car, not just S2000's.

Nice. I might be able to use this one at some point. Thanks for the tip. :-)
