has this ever happened to any parked in a garage??
I'd say it's definitely possible to find one in your cars air box if it's in a garage. For some reason, the little buggers like it in there. It must be because it's warm, but you'd think they would stop building once everything cools down
...maybe not.I'm not sure where my car was kept by the original owner, but when I bought it, there was a huge nest in the air box with holes chewed into the filter. It sends shivers down my spine to think how much crap was sucked into the engine during the one or two weeks before I found it. Also, who knows how long it was driven like that before I bought it
The really interesting thing is I bought it from Honda of Tyson's Corner (aka Rosenthal Honda) in Tysons Corner, VA. Shows how thorough their inspection process is when they buy and sell a used car. You'd think the first, if not only, thing they would check are the filters, fluids and tires. Shame on me too... I definitely learned a lesson and will scrutinize the heck out of any car I purchase in the future.
I had mice chew up some wiring under the hood of my daily driver.
Make sure if you are storing the car don't leave any food sources around. If you have bird seed or dog food in the garage, it'll attract the little varments.
