Stylish Boxster S
I often wonder what it must be like to live life without culture or refinement. Thanks to the posts of other members of this board, I have experienced those very things. Thanks to all of you to validate my assumptions about s2000 owners. The baggy jeans and Linkin Park t-shirts fit better than the veil of ignorance and stupidity you all seem to enjoy to wear. I congratulate each and every one of you for buying into the erroneous mindset that a "Honda" is a sportscar. I wish each and every one of you the best of luck in life and I'll see you on the other side of the counter when I order my next 6 piece chicken Mcnuggets. Cheers!
I personally have not seen an s2000 in a MICKEY D's parking lot for more than 30 minutes....please correct me if anyone has seen this.
Plus I think boxstersrule is a 40 yr. old guy wishing he was still young so he can get away with putting on the "punk" front.
3 outta 4 boxsters here in JAX are driven by "older" ladies and viagra poppin "seniors" out tryin to get some FRESH pootie-tang
I do emphasise TRYING>>>>>>>> The rest are taking thier parents por-sha for a joy ride before curphew....

Okay Boxstersrule, let me introduce you to some culture and refinement:
[soapbox on]

You know that little supercar called the Acura NSX? the one that can out accelerate a Porsche 911 993? That can eek out a Ferrari F355 in handling and acceleration? I know this is an S2000 forum, but guess what? Acura = Honda. Acura = refinement. I have driven a Boxster and an NSX and I will quite fairly say that the NSX kicks the boxster. Pure and simple. Plus, the NSX is so much more comfortable, with an easier, *more refined* interior and superb speed and handling. The S2000, unfortunately, I haven't been able to drive.
So, here's my rant: Honda makes supersport, handmade cars. Boxsters are assembly line cars. Personally, I want to know that just one person built the engine, jsut one person made sure the doors fit perfectly.
[soapbox off]

That said, I believe that the S2000 and the NSX are probably the most beautiful cars out there that I might be able to afford. Sure, Ferrari is the ultimate in driving art, but the S2000 and NSX get my top vote for affordable sportscar and supercar fun.
Thank you and good night

Right on, brotha.... and to boxstersrule.... Hondas, well, *ARE* sportscars... in the japanese sense of the word. Not the american sense (please bear with me: I think that the Japanese make the ultimate in refined sports automobiles, while the ultimate american "sportscar" is the Viper, which goes fast in a line nicely, but that's about it)
