I live in Texas and when I am forced to park the car in the sun, it gets HOT! I did some quick research on s2ki, and was only able to find 2 sources of sunshades (the type that you put across the windshield) that will fit the S2k: genuine Honda accessories ($30 + shipping) and H and A accessories (http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000-04int.html) ($20 + shipping). Has anyone been able to find a shade at a local car shop (Pep Boys, NTB, etc...) that would fit the s2k? I would prefer not to pay ~$30 for a shade!
I had the same problem being in florida, and also having a previous dash bust open on another car. I did alot of research with it and no go. You pay the big bucks or you make your own, which I did. I already had one from the honda dealer, that was shot so I took the measurements and just cut the other one (from Walmart) down to size. Its not bad. Works for me and better than spending 30 plus shipping!

I recieved my CBs on Monday - it's been 100+ in Seattle. It helps to have the side windows down just about 1/4 in to hold the side shades in place. You can hold the top of the shade in place when you shut the door - it works fine for me. Did your front shade fit well?

Dude just tint your windows and windshield. with ceramic tint from solar gaurd I think it was called. A lil more expensive them the regular tint but protect and rejects heat A LOT more. Not to mention it will keep the 99% ov UV rays out.

Its a nite and day difference with the tint. And if you don't like tint you can gt a 75% film and still does all the protection and heat rejection without the dark window !!

You really need to look at heat rejection if you're going with tint. At the time I had my S tinted the Wincos film offered the best heat rejection (92%).

As for a sun shade for the front windshield, I highly recommend the Heatshield from H&A mentioned by the OP.
