Exactly - I dont know of a way to make our ignition better unless you can get ahold of new coils? And the wires are part of the coils . . .

Great post just the same, Id like to see how close you come to Sev's simulated 12.6 1/4 mile . . .

Unless he plans on launching at arounf 6000 RPM i doubt he will be able to reproduce that and i don't blame him. I wouldn't try that with that much power either.

He should be in the low 13s with an off-idle start and some good shifting.

Wesmaster - thank you so much for providing the pics and info on your supercharger install! I am thinking of doing this myself, so it is good to see some more objective "owner-tells" writing on the subject!

However, IMHO, those "supercharged" decals are way lame. I'm not saying that the idea of a decal is lame, just the style you used. The Mistral font is one of the oldest and most overused fonts in existence today! It's like those crappy cheap and nasty 'Turbo' badges that people put on their car when they don't even have a turbo.

Don't want to rain on your parade, but people may look at you and think the same thing. You might think that you have nothing to prove as you know that you have a supercharger, so if that is the case, why even have a decal? You have an expensive supercharger kit and an expensive S2K.....don't ruin it by putting a pimp-cheap looking style decal on the car.

As a suggestion, if you were going to install a decal, I would use a Swiss 911 Xcm BT (regular or italic) or Impact Italic font for the wording. I prefer the Swiss 911 italic myself. Both these fonts can be found in MS-Word. I would also be using a silver color decal rather than white. It will work better with your car.

However, the downside of having the decal is that you are making your car more prone to theft as it is likely that your car would be highly desirable as a joyride boost. Even if it wasn't stolen, it might be badly damaged by some punk that would be willing to try and steal it.

You know that the car is fast....do you need to tell everyone the mods you have done? I would have thought that the fun part would be the element of surprise with them not knowing what you had under the hood!

Just my $0.02!

Sime,

The decal Wesmaster put under the S2000 is what comes with the kit... I just filed mine under 'Honda' in my filing cabinet I am also thinking if losing the custom polished Supercharged by Comptech wire cover too... less is sometimes better.

Thanks for the report on your supercharger install and driving impressions. I was a bit concerned to hear that you are beginning to experience that sluggish/hesitation in light of the experience of at least one other board member with a CT SC. I know that Comptech thinks there may have been a map sensor issue with the other member's car. He also experienced sluggishness and severe hesitation in 1st and 2nd gears after installing his SC.

There are only two things that are holding me back from giving CT my credit card number, (1) the #4 cylinder issue; and, (2) driveability issues.

Please keep us posted. Thanks!

Shaner,

I had a feeling that Comptech provided those decals
Still, wouldn't cost more that a couple bucks to get some custom ones made at a decal shop or at: http://www.stickercity.com

Those stock 'Supercharged' decals are about as bad as the polished valve cover that Comptech provides as well. Didn't you receive a lot of flak for this cover? Was it your post about which forum member liked this cover compared to the stock one?

Comptech really need a graphic designer! Or actually, maybe they "don't"! After all, if they are not hiring a graphic designer, that means that they are spending more on R&D......where I really appeciate them spending the money on their systems!!!

Cheers,

Actually my most successful launches were at 7,000 RPMs. You have to really manage the gas pedal, because the torque can easily run you into redline before the wheels even catch strong onto the concrete. Letting out of the gas a bit, but keeping it at the 7,000 RPM range until the wheels catch has been my best launch technique.

Not too sound pesimistic but read the differential thread. You will break yours if you do high RPM launches with your stook and you better believe Honda is not going to warranty it.

Just be careful, and thanks for the info.
