I got a phone call tonight from a friend at a shop I used to work at.
There is a guy around town that had an S2000 with a comptech supercharger who wrecked the back end of his car as well as blown his engine. He is looking to unload things cheap.
I could get his comptech supercharger for $1800. I was planning on supercharging the S this winter, but I really wanted the vortech.
Should I take advantage of this and get the comptech instead. I guess with the extra money, I could just have a custom aftercooler made for it (like 1randyc).

Opinions?
Do you think I should just get the comptech? Pro's, Cons's vs. the vortech??

Go for it. It has yet to be proven that the Vortech kit is any better than the Comptech kit (I still believe on paper it is), and especially not compared to the deal you could be getting on that used kit. I agree, use the extra money to buy an IC, get the piping made, and slap on a smaller pulley...but get used to the SC first...it might be all the power you'll ever want (haha, riiiiiight).
