Surprise Colorado Snow Storm (video)
Here was my first EVER drive in the S2000 in the snow. Had the car for only about 2 weeks so far, and just put on summer tires. Of course, I had to put my all-season's back on for this trip -- but even all seasons struggled which I fully expected!
It was fun, and please note that nothing in this video was "for fun." The hill it SUPER steep and if I didnt stay in it I wasn't going to make it.

Tires are very new Hankook Ventus V2 Concept 2s.

Wow! Glad you made it ok. A friend tossed his EVO into a ditch, first year going to school in Aurora. He had just put snow tires onto the car.
He drives his wife's plain-Jane Civic, now.

The sliding was the least scary part. The worse part was that no matter what gear the car was in I was getting wheelspin. No matter what. So it was scary because I didn't think I would have the momentum to get up. The countersteering was just a natural instinct outside of that. haha

That is probably a poor choice in tires. That Hankook is described as a High Performace All Season. Unfortunately, that would in general make it a crappy performer in winter conditions and that particular tire, is way down toward the bottom of the rankings even among it's "rivals". If you want to use an all season for cold season driving, you are probably better off in a Grand Touring All Season. You should be looking toward the top of this category of tires:
