Swapping F1 v10
These engines are getting traction in race cars.
Hartley enterprised V8

2.8 litre, 32 valve V8, 400hp @10000rpm. Probably the closest you will get to F1 sound on a sane budget

There was a guy in my hometown who bought an F1 car from the early to mid 90s, he spent several months trying to source an engine for it but no one would sell it to him because he wasn't an official sanctioned competing race team. He was just an ultra-super-rich car enthusiast.
They usually don't sell them because they don't want competitors to gain knowledge about their stuff. If you were able to find one it would cost you $10,000++ for a working engine. They only need to last two races in F1.
Another thing I heard was that Honda's bike teams receive the motor from Honda, but aren't allowed to do internal work on them. They have to send the motors back to Japan to have them worked on by Honda's race engine builders. They get several spares though, so it isn't too bad.
Good luck, but understand what you are up against.

Here's one from 2001, it's a cool $70,000 and comes on a stand.
