Default Tape Or No Tape?

I know the windshield tape issue has been discussed before and several people have taken it off. I saw a Spa Yellow last night with the tape off and I was intrigued. Looked good. But I'm still on the fence. I'm looking for concensus from the experts. What do you all think? Tape on or off?

I think the S looks great with tape OFF with the Hardtop is on, but I'm not so happy with the look when the soft top is up. Keeping the entire top consistent in that case looks better to me. I've decided to leave mine alone, for now at least.....

Just think how cool your S would look if you got a black hard top and left your tape on. I think that would look awesome and somewhat NSX like. Leave it on.

No hard top for me. I just don't like the look and see no reason for one. My car will never be out in the elements so there is no reason for me to have a hard top. The fact that the season is winding down here on the north coast is making me nervous. What will I do without the S???

Yep, it looks better with tape On and softtop up. BUT i either have hardtop on or softtop down 95% of the year so I took it off my Spa Yellow and much prefer it that way. Looks are therfore improved 95% of the time.

I may be in the same boat. I have never driven my S with top up. If I can't drive it in full "convertible roadster mode", she ain't goin' out anyway.

You may not have anything to be concerned about. I heard on the radio last night that the Farmer's Almanac predicts a better than normal winter. Overall, warmer temps and less snow fall. Probably due to El Nino. Las winter I was able to drive with the top down some days in all of the winter months. That's why I never planned on storing the S.

I hope your right. I love El Nino winters. But I was driving home last night after the meet and had the heat on full throttle (top down) and it was chilly...65 degrees at the time too. Not sure how I will do on a 45 degree day with the top down
