Has anyone put a black hardtop on a non-black car? DarioManfretti mentioned this and I have also though about it. Anyone have pics of it? Or a Photoshop hack? The look would probably be similar for any of the colors, but I have a Sazuka.

I'm not really interested in getting one now, since I plan on having the top down all year long if it means I have to wear ski goggles...but maybe sometime in the future, when I'm not quite as stupid

i just removed the tape today! I have a sebring silver. It took a while bc i had some goo leftover from the tape. Other than that, no scratches or cosmetic issues with tape removal. I really like it! Especially with the top down. When you look around at other convertibles... here is the poll.

corvettes - black pillar
SLKs - body color
z3 - body color
s2000 - black tape
sebring convertible - black pillar
boxster - body color?

so, it's your preference!

Oh, this little nugget again!

I also think it looks better with the tape on, especially with the top up. With the top down, I think it looks slightly better, but not enough to make me want to change it. Besides, my S is my daily driver, and my top is up about 30% of the time. When winter comes, naturally it will be up more.

I'm with everyone who says if you have the HT then its a good idea, it looks much much better that way.

However if you don't, I find it looks goofy with the top up. I'm of the camp either the top is down or the HT is on.

So it never matters to me, if I didn't have the HT then I wouldn't have done it.
